General Meetings

The Dodgen PTSA holds general meetings 3 times during the school year.  Meetings for the 2025-26 school year will be held on:

• Tuesday, August 12, 2025
• Tuesday, February 3, 2026
• Thursday, April 23, 2026

NOTICE OF MEETING:

The Dodgen PTSA will hold its first General Meeting on Tuesday, August 12 at 6:00pm in the Dodgen theater. Members will vote on the proposed 25/26 budget and the following bylaw amendment will be considered:

Current Bylaw:
Article XIII, Section 6, Paragraph 1, Page 9:
“Section 6. 25 members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business in any meeting of this local PTA/PTSA.”

Proposed Amendment:
Amend Article XIII, Section 6, Paragraph 1, Page 9 by striking out 25 and inserting 15.
“Section 6. 25 15 members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business in any meeting of this local PTA/PTSA.”

Purpose:
This amendment is proposed to reduce quorum as recommended by Georgia PTA.

Procedure:
A majority vote of two-thirds members present is required for adoption of the budget and bylaws amendment. Bylaws become effective upon receipt of approval from Georgia PTA.
